- "Mystery
Iris Multiples"
|
PHOTO CONTEST WINNER
December
2008
Jeannie
Siegman
Stanford,
California
|
Jeannie writes,
"This iris (hundreds and hundreds of them) thrives in an 80-foot
long bed backed by a pittosporum hedge in my garden. It
originated with a dozen rhizomes given to me by a friend around
1995. I've dug and divided them several times, and they seem
to thrive on neglect. If anyone can identify it, I'd be
interested to know. I was told it was "General Douglas
MacArthur" but a search for such an iris yields nothing - only a
tropical water lily by that name." |
