Hello Happy
Gardeners,
It's mid September and we're in high gear getting bulbs in and shipping
bearded iris out (as well as some fall blooming items such as Colchicums
and Crocus Sativus). You can expect most of your Fall bulb orders to
start shipping the week of 9/20 and later depending on where you are
located and will receive shipment notifications from us once the order
does go out. Please be sure to unpack your order upon receipt to
allow the bulbs to get air until you are ready to plant them! This
issue of our Happy Gardening Newsletter is to offer a quick peek at
the newest additions to our
gardening
accessories line..browse down below and be sure not to miss a special
offer through September 30, 2004 on many of these items. Also, our
September photo contest winner and our gardening tip. Be on the
lookout as well for some great bulb deals coming soon!
Tell us what you would like to read about in future issues! We
love hearing back from our readers and want to provide you with
interesting information about flowerbulbs, perennials and gardening in
general!

Gardening Gifts and
Accessories |

Most of our newest
additions to this line encourage indoor forcing of bulbs such as
crocus, hyacinths, tulips, paperwhites and amaryllis. You
can find
forcing instructions at our site as well as get some great
ideas of items that make great
combinations in pots for outdoors or indoors. Some of our
newest additions include (at 15% off regular prices through the
end of September!):
 |
Amaryllis Vase - Clear
Tall vase perfect for forcing Amaryllis on water (6
1/4" x 10").
Amaryllis
will bloom for the holidays if started six to eight weeks in advance.
So, for late December flowering, plant in late October to
early November. Try planting one bulb every week and
have flowers from December through April! We start
shipping Amaryllis in early October, but order early to ensure
availability. |
| |
|
 |
Crackled Hyacinth Vase
These vases come in an
assortment of colors for forcing Hyacinths and Paperwhites on water.
Simply fill with water so that the bottom of the bulb
is not touching the water and set the bulb on top.
We
sell these vases with or without bulbs. "With bulbs"
includes one Paperwhite and one Hyacinth per vase and
are available from mid September through mid January. We suggest
starting the Paperwhite upon arrival and storing the hyacinth in the
refrigerator for later blooming.

 |
Terra Cotta Crocus Bowl
A complement to our
oval paperwhite bowl, this terra cotta crocus bowl enhances the
experience of forcing crocus bulbs indoors. |
