Fall 2001 Harvest
Information |
|
The bulbs in Holland are being harvested as we write. The
season is a bit later than last year because of the cool weather
lately. The crop is average, but the quality is
good. The first containers will leave Holland in the next
week or ten days with the early Tulips, Crocus and some other
small bulbs, followed by the rest of the Tulips and finishing
with the Hyacinths and Narcissus.

Touch
of Nature's Gardening
Tip |
|
Make sure you keep on
pulling an occasional weed to prevent seeding. Also, help
Mother Nature with watering when it stays dry. A good
soaking once a week is better than a few little sprinkles...be
sure to stay within any watering restrictions for your
area. Finally, dead head any flowers that are finished
blooming to keep plants tidy and encourage more flowers.
If your tip is being used in our
newsletter, you will receive a $10.00 gift certificate also
redeemable for any items in our catalogs! Email
us your tip today!
