Hosta
Previously called 'Funkia', Hostas have become popular because the large and beautiful foliage is used for flower arrangements.  Hostas can be grown as a ground cover under trees, in a herbaceous border or near water.  Smaller varieties are excellent for a rock garden or in containers.  Do not let the plant become dry during the Summer!

Planting & Fertilizing
It is extremely important to make sure there is good drainage where you plant your bulbs and that you fertilize the bulbs 3 times with a well-balanced 10-10-10 fertilizer.  Fertilize once when planting, once when they just come above the surface and once right after flowering.
